We are seeking a Learning Management System Administrator to join our team. This individual will report to the Manager of Learning & Development and will be onsite or hybrid (three days a week) at our corporate offices in Chicago, IL. Our LMS Admin will be the responsible for the configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, reporting, and audit of the LMS. This role acts as the System Subject Matter Expert for our Learning Management System and is responsible for ensuring that the system is configured to perform as effectively and efficiently as possible. The LMS Admin will collaborate with the Learning & Organizational Effectiveness team and other internal stakeholders such as Legal, Risk Management, Human Resources, and other departments to build curriculum journeys, compliance assignments, and build/maintain an inventory of content/resources to support the effectiveness, personal & professional development, and career growth of our Camping World team members.

 

Responsibilities:

  • LMS Configuration: Determines appropriate system configuration of the LMS based on business requirements and makes recommendations and adaptations to the configuration to continuously improve the effectiveness and utilization of the LMS. Partners with IT department to ensure consistent, accurate user access and alignment with company information & data security policies. Acts as "gate-keeper" for all content in LMS to ensure alignment with Learning & Organizational Effectiveness strategy and business strategy. Collaborates with other system admins to ensure related processes are coordinated and seamless for the end-user, including other HR and Talent processes.
  • LMS Support: Maintains communication with LMS vendor related to technical support issues, LMS configuration best practices, upgrades/enhancements, etc. Supports internal end-users and stakeholders through troubleshooting and tracking issues, reporting on trends, and escalating issues to LMS vendor as needed. Verifies content is exported with the appropriate settings and is compatible with LMS.
  • Learning Library and Knowledge Management: Curates external content in response to business strategy and departmental needs to ensure quality and compatibility with LMS. Builds partnerships with internal knowledge experts and maintains an inventory of internal content and resources. Efficiently surfaces appropriate materials as needed for projects, employees, and acts as liaison between library and stakeholders for both access and governance. Recommends best practices for hosting content and resources based on the overall learning ecosystem strategy.
  • Curriculum Journeys & Competency Mapping: Coordinates with Learning & Organizational Effectiveness (L&OE) team and department stakeholders to build effective curriculum journeys. Curates content, both internal & external, to map to applicable competencies.
  • Learning Campaigns: In alignment with L&OE strategy, creates and executes a coordinated schedule of "learning campaigns" to enhance the learning culture and employee engagement experience.
  • Compliance: Ensures the configuration of the LMS is aligned with SOX controls and other regulatory requirements. As requested, pull utilization records, learner transcripts, and other LMS related evidence to support audits. Coordinate with compliance "owners" to schedule and implement training requirements via the LMS and provide access to reports to drive participation.
  • Data & Analytics: Partner with data analysts to ensure appropriate LMS reports are accessible to leadership and stakeholders. Present LMS utilization rates and inventory/library updates to L&OE Steering Committee.

  • Enhance current processes and systems to drive the learning culture.
  • Recommend new tools, processes, and procedures to continually improve the way we analyze gaps or performance deficiencies, build & implement programs, and measure the effectiveness of solutions.
  • Execute projects quickly, with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or minimum 3 years relevant work experience in learning & development, LMS administration, computer science, HRIS administration, or other related fields.
  • Experience with internal or external customer support.
  • Experience with learning management systems and relational database management systems.
  • Experience managing additional learning technologies and platforms such as SharePoint, APIs and computer coding, video & audio hosting, etc.
  • Preferred experience with augmented reality technology.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Up to 5% travel required.
