Job Summary

The primary purposes of Asset Protection Manager role is to provide consultative support and partnership to operational leaders, 3PL providers, and merchandising business partners. This role directly leads a team of Asset Protection Auditors within a multi-location environment and must maintain a constant presence throughout the Bulk Distribution and Final Mile business nodes. These responsibilities ultimately drive the development, administration, and maintenance of Lowe’s damage reduction strategies. The Asset Protection Manager impacts overall business performance and execution by providing strategic and collaborative leadership across assigned locations. Further, this role proactively diagnoses and addresses opportunities to improve the organization’s financial performance and customer experience. To be successful, the individual in this role must influence business leaders and build strong, cross-functional relationships while driving world class execution of program and processes. In addition, this person must be an expert in Supply Chain operations, people engagement and technology resources. This role is critical to Lowe's as it aligns the ability to influence execution which maximizes profitability of top line sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partners with operational leaders, 3PL providers, and merchandising business partners to review policies, procedures, and processes for opportunities to improve the customer experience while controlling expenses and maximizing margins
  • Builds relationships and effectively collaborates with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manages, hires, and develops a diverse team of hourly asset protection auditors within a multi-location geographical area
  • Oversees compliance, integrity, and effectiveness of product quality audit program and makes necessary adjustments to meet evolving business damage strategies.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, operational procedures, and product handling procedures to reduce financial risk and drive company profit.
  • Identify organizational risks and take swift actions
  • Conduct analysis of data to ensure continuous improvement of product quality assurance.
  • Support operational and material handling training to drive a culture of quality assurance.
  • Provides open feedback and mentorship to associates to encourage growth and greater responsibility.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of historical and current data to identify trends and direct actions
  • Delivers consistent reporting, provides trend analysis, and supports key business partners in the creation and deployment of strategies to increase profitability
  • Identifies key areas for improvement, then challenges and encourages individuals and leadership teams to close the gaps
  • Provide training, implementation, and governance over network processes to support organizational initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to damage reduction strategies and operational controls through comprehensive Quarterly Walk
  • Provides a clear vision to associates throughout the Supply Chain network of their role in enabling the organization to deliver the desired customer experience
  • Participate in system design planning process for all new equipment adds, existing equipment or process modifications, to reduce the risk of injury and/or regulatory exposure.
  • Provide ongoing consultation and direction during the new building stand-up phase, helping to implement and enforce damage reduction process and programs, helping to monitor and address issues when necessary, and collecting learnings throughout the early phases of the new building (i.e., test and learn)

Required Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Risk Management, Engineering, Business or other related degree
  • 5 years’ retail AP Experience (Distribution or retail stores)

Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year experience with a Mass Retailer or other multi-location employer
  • 1 year warehouse type store and/or distribution center experience
  • Certification - CSP, ASP, WSO, ARM Certification
  • Certification - OSHA 10 or 30 Hour
