Cable Technician/Installer Tech 1

Low Voltage / Fiber Cable Technician with 2 years experience in structured cabling Cat 3, Cat 5 & 6 cable also Coax & Fiber would be a plus.

Candidates are expected to have a sense of urgency, reliable transportation, and mobile phone. Travel from office to job sites will be compensated.

This job allows for a great amount of autonomy once high workmanship has been observed and a high degree of trust has been gained.

Work Location: In person`Duties```
- Install, maintain, and repair cable systems for residential and commercial customers
- Perform cable splicing, termination, and testing
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with cable connections, signal strength, and network performance
- Install and configure network equipment, including routers, switches, and modems
- Conduct site surveys to determine optimal placement of cables and equipment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects
- Adhere to safety guidelines and industry standards during all installations and repairs

```Qualifications```
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a cable technician or in a related field preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for working with tools and equipment
- Familiarity with fiber splicing techniques and low voltage systems
- Knowledge of Ethernet and computer networking principles
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service skills
