The HR Business Partner identifies and develops HR solutions directly aligned with business strategy. As an integral member of our HR team, you provide strategic partnership with employees and leadership in a consultative manner to support organizational objectives. You will perform human resources services including talent acquisition, employment processing, organizational development, employee relations and retention. Your role will be one of the most impactful on our people, process and culture.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Leads full cycle recruitment and talent acquisition. Proactively partner on staffing planning, job evaluation, sourcing and screening candidates, and participating in the offer and onboarding process. Manage external recruiting partner relationships.
• Creates company and department organizational development plans and processes. Develops and implement processes & policies that align with business objectives and compliance requirements, including succession planning, retention and employee engagement strategies.
• Create employee enrichment events and strengthen employee relationships. Implements and execute initiatives related to identifying, leveraging, developing and retaining internal talent in partnership with leaders at all levels.
• Provides training, coaching and direction to managers and employees with questions regarding policies, practices, benefits, and other HR related inquiries.
• Advises and coaches management in addressing employee relations issues such as disciplinary actions, performance reviews and terminations. Acts as an employee advisor on issues including interpersonal communications, morale and conduct. May perform internal investigations related to items of a serious nature such as claims of harassment or discrimination.
• Identify and escalate employment issues or concerns to leadership.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information and data and personnel data files.
• Stay up to date on local, state and federal employment laws and communicate updates to HR & Legal teams.
• Perform other responsibilities, duties, and skills as assigned.

• Conflict resolution - Ability to proactively resolve conflicts in a positive and constructive manner. Possess the knowledge and skills to address complaints, settle disputes, and negotiate with others to reach decisions. Confidence in negotiation and persuasion.
• Problem Solving - Ability to identify complex problems, analyze related information, employ creativity and alternative thinking to develop and evaluate options, build consensus and implement effective solutions. Skilled in information gathering and critical thinking.
• Quality of Work – Must be able to efficiently prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, exceptional attention to detail and maintain a high level of accuracy. Ability to work well independently and in a team environment. Adept with technology and systems.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or other business-related field, or the equivalent gained through professional experience.
• 5 year’s progressive Human Resources experience, with at least 3 years in an exempt-level HR professional role such as HRBP, Generalist, or Recruiter. Strong experience in recruiting preferred.
• PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP preferred

Location: Portland, OR
This position has the opportunity to work at our downtown Portland headquarters. Following onboarding & training, hybrid and remote work options may be available. Local candidates are preferred, however we will also consider candidates residing in the greater Pacific Northwest within our operating market areas including Central Oregon (Bend/Redmond), Southern Oregon (Medford/Grants Pass), Central Willamette Valley (Salem to Eugene), and Central Washington (Yakima/Tri-Cities).
