Arxada is looking for a Scientist located in our Alpharetta, GA, office. This position will work as a member of a research unit or project team. They will be a scientist with scientific or technical area of expertise. They will contribute to the development, implementation of procedures and processes in the field of analytical research and development. In addition, they will provide analytical testing and research support for R&D, application development, regulatory assurance, technical services, and various Arxada business units.
Key responsibilities:
Plans experimental lab work (scheduling, design, safety measures, coordination with associated services).
Collects, summarizes, analyses data to prepare reports and makes presentations, as appropriate, to disseminate best practice throughout the function. Prepares data for scientific decisions.
Contributes to scientific field or technique by solving scientific problems within R&D.
Might be responsible to manage a lab or platform (Organization, Equipment, Safety).
Represents the team in group and project team meetings
Disseminates good quality information throughout the team
May manage, develop and/or coach lab technicians
Provides on-the-job training and support to new team members
Evaluation and Implementation of trends and innovations in the area of analytical research and development
Key requirements:
BS Degree required: Preferred area of study: Analytical Chemistry, General Chemistry
At least 5 years in analytical research and development
Good understanding of how the team integrates with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Hands-on experience with analytical measurements and instrumental analysis in chemical industry
Good understanding of procedures and concepts within analytical development, laboratory quality control and appropriate statistical methods
