POSITION SUMMARY
The Employment Manager is responsible for offering leadership and guidance to all state-funded employment programs as well as supporting staff. While providing targeted outreach and presentations to employers and fulfilling all employment contractual guidelines.
Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Maintain current knowledge of workforce trends and environmental factors that affect those trends;
- Lead Employment Services (ES) Team with provide leadership, mentoring, support and supervision to all ES staff, interns and volunteers to ensure the provision of quality employment services;
- Lead team meetings and participate in in-service trainings;
- Motivate and support staff to achieve all employment contractual goals
- Monitor and evaluate progress towards achieving quarterly goals by implementing client evaluations and file reviews
- Outreach to area employers through mailings, phone inquiries, and presentations to provide them program information and to inquire job postings on a larger scale
- Coordinate services with other agencies
- Develop relationships with area employers to allow for the regular and ongoing placement of LSS/NCA clients
- Organize and conduct Pre-Employment Trainings
- Develop and conduct intern/employer surveys
- Develop and place clients into internships appropriate to circumstances
- Maintain effective working relationship with area partners.
- Maintain accurate record of all services provided
- Ensures that reports are produced and submitted in a timely manner;
- Provide referrals and career counseling as needed
- Monitor participants' participation in English as a Second Language through regular contact with the provider
- Attend all conferences, seminars, and meetings related to program activities;
- Project Manager when organizing Annual Employer Luncheon;
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ensure quality controls through regular file reviews;

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study: Communication or related filed
Experience:
- 2 plus years of experience in job placement
Computer Skills:
- Basic computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Access, Excel, Word and Power Point) essential
Other Requirements:
- Ability to supervise a diverse staff
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills
- Acquaintance with area faith communities
- A foreign language in addition to English preferred
Salary : $54,500 - $59,400
