About the role

LTK’s Insights & Analytics team is an integral component of the company’s overall mission.  As a Senior Data Analyst, you will work cross-functionally across LTK to provide insights to optimize the business and assess the execution of and impact of initiatives.  You inherently are creative, analytical, and technically proficient with a strong desire to solve problems while balancing the dynamics of business and tech.  Your innate curiosity drives you to tell the story from A-to-Z for LTK’s business.

In this role, you will be part of a growth-hungry, acceleration-minded team of problem-solvers and product-builders; you will use a data-driven approach to drive a deep understanding of our rapidly evolving business and platforms.   We focus relentlessly on the needs of our brands, influencers and consumers.  We seek thought-partners and creative thinkers who can collaborate effectively with product managers, marketing managers, designers, and engineers to define and measure success metrics as well as identify actionable insights to help LTK grow.

This role focuses on Core Analytics & Reporting within the LTK Insights & Analytics hub.  This person will collaborate to generate actionable insights that impact all areas of the business and ultimately drive revenue by conducting complex analyses and monitoring performance on a daily basis.  You will be responsible for gathering and analyzing affiliate data from multiple sources and will apply your strategic and analytical skills to high visibility company challenges:

  • Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve for them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations
  • Go beyond creating reporting dashboards -- identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets, then summarize key findings and propose action plans
  • Serve as an analytical and technical thought partner to stakeholders on the analytics team and around the business
  • Identify the development needs to streamline and improve the operations of the organization for efficiency and profitability
  • Create, maintain, and manage critical data and metrics documentation used across the organization

How you will make an impact

  • Combine data from multiple sources to build various reports to identify trends and growth opportunities and craft compelling dashboards and visualizations to “tell the story” of the business
  • Translate complex analytical tasks into actionable insights and easily consumable outputs
  • Synthesize complex data analyses and communicate clearly and effectively to stakeholders across the organization
  • Collaborate daily with cross-functional colleagues to drive strategies and tactics for growth
  • Partner with various teams at LTK to understand data needs and define/build key metrics, dashboards, and reports that allow stakeholders to execute their business goals more effectively
  • Build, maintain and scale Looker as our BI tool and ensure effective use of Looker across LTK and provide recommendations to stakeholders at all levels on Looker and data-driven best practices
  • Perform ad hoc queries and data analysis requests on an as-needed basis
  • Continually evaluate and refine your technical toolkit; teach what you learn to the team

What you will bring to LTK

  • 5 years experience in a quantitative role
  • 2 years of experience with implementing and managing BI platforms (Looker) for business intelligence
  • 2 years of experience in developing with LookML, Looker’s SQL Runner, Content Validator
  • Proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation to drive actionable insights and decisions
  • Strong communication skills - you can present your findings in a clear and articulate way to groups of various stakeholders to drive decision making through interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • A self-starter with a curious nature and passion for data; you “think outside the box” and “around the corner” with fierce attention to detail
  • A deep desire to prove yourself right or wrong and make smart decisions without ego
  • Empathy and intellectual humility to build strong rapport and thought-partnerships with colleagues
  • Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, high-growth, and rapidly changing environment and drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment; you display an intense focus on achieving both short and long term goals (wearing both hats simultaneously)
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets skills
  • Strong SQL skills; experience with Python, R or a similar programming language is a plus

Functional requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree; your major can be anything - we love diverse educational backgrounds, but you have a strong quantitative foundation
  • Demonstrable record of professional and academic achievements
  • Experience in building, inspiring, developing and leading a high-performing team
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders (technical and non-technical)
