Assistant General Manager (AGM)

We are thrilled to announce the opening of a brand new Dim Sum/ Dumpling restaurant in the heart of Old Port. With a seating capacity of 140, our restaurant aims to deliver an elevated and fun dining experience. Mixing authentic and creative menu items, showcasing the artistry and flavors of dim sum cuisine. The Bar Manager will play a pivotal role in opening and establishing the systems and procedures of the new restaurant. This will be a salary plus tip position. The salary will be based on experience but in the neighborhood of 50,000 base. The projected opening date is July 1st, however this position would have a starting date of ASAP.

• Cocktail Creation: Develop and curate a diverse cocktail menu that complements our dim sum and dumpling offerings. Showcase creativity and expertise in mixology to craft signature drinks that delight guests.
• Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering and maintenance of bar supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels while minimizing waste. Implement efficient inventory tracking systems to streamline operations.
• Guest Experience: Foster a welcoming and engaging atmosphere at the bar, providing exceptional service to our guests. Offering recommendations and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Staff Training: Train and mentor bar staff on cocktail preparation techniques, product knowledge, and customer service best practices. Promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Compliance: Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, as well as licensing requirements. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the bar area at all times.

Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge and experience in mixology, with a passion for creating innovative and high-quality cocktails.
• Strong understanding of beer and wine, with the ability to make informed recommendations to guests.
• Proven track record in inventory management, with the ability to optimize stock levels and control costs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire a team to deliver exceptional service.
• Attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe) preferred.
