We are looking for exceptional people who are passionate for the hospitality industry. The Assistant Restaurant Managers (Assistant Managers) are responsible for the overall operation of the unit. Assistant Managers report directly to the unit Restaurant Manager or General Manager. Assistant Managers support and implement business objectives through a strong sales based focus and constant development of their team. Assistant Managers provide the strategy and delegate duties to ensure all business objectives and sales goals are met.
Essential Job Functions:
- On a day-to-day basis, Assistant Managers are responsible for the strategic development and support of the unit in the areas of sales, costs, quality and people basics.
- Desire for growth, with the desire to take on more responsibility and self-improvement
- Develop overall strategy for unit to meet business objectives, develop and promote employees and meet sales goals in all applicable sales avenues.
- Maintains highest standard of customer service in unit.
- Communicate and follow-up on unit objectives with all staff through to completion.
- Maintain a sales based focus, proactively seeking out sales opportunities to establish and maintain business.
- Maintain highest quality standards to ensure a safe working environment including maintaining HAACP, Board of Health protocols in everyday duties for all employees.
- Develop other staff to effectively manage sales, costs, quality and people basics.
- Manage inventory, vendors and payroll.
- Recruit and retain appropriately skilled staff to work in the restaurant and/or handle catering and banquet events.
- Positively impact the unit through demonstrated creativity in developing and implementing strategic initiatives in the unit.
- Appropriately schedule staff for forecasted sales.
- Audit internal processes and adjust as needed to complete assigned operational goals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with Micros POS or similar.
- Manage employee relations issues to ensure a harmonious work environment for all staff.
- Support administrative staff in effectively communicating issues, concerns, and special needs/projects and day-to-day business of the unit.
- Fill in wherever necessary.
Physical Requirements Necessary for the Position:
- Assistant Managers will regularly stand, walk, talk, carry, bend, stoop, turn and lift in excess of thirty-five (35) pounds. Assistant Managers will also view a computer monitor and type/write on a regular basis. Candidate must be able to Work on nights, weekends and holidays.
