Responsibilities for Service and Inspection Technician

• Use software to analyze, inspect and report on tower lighting systems
• Install and maintain communication systems including router and other equipment configuration
• Perform maintenance and provide customer support
• Diagnose problems and come up with solutions to repair them
• Fill out detailed reports and keep records on services that have been performed
• Explain issues with equipment and repairs to customers
• Build and maintain relationships with customers
• Support LumenServe Safety Program
• Live LumenServe Value System

Qualifications for Service Technician

• Understanding of electricity and the ability to work with different voltages and currents
• Ability to install, repair, service, test and troubleshoot equipment
• Ability to use a multi-meter a must
• Available to travel 50% of the time
• Must be able to read technical specifications and diagrams
• Ability to work flexible hours and work around a changing schedule
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and diagnostic skills
• Working knowledge of the tools and equipment needed for the job
• Computer and IP networking skills required
• Ability to work independently without much supervision
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job which include driving many hours, bending, lifting heavy equipment and working outdoors in various weather situations
• Driver's license required
• Ability to effectively manage time
• Required to bring personal tools to the job

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: Commensurate with experience

• High school or equivalent (Required)
• College degree preferred
