Summary:
Luminator Aerospace is looking for an experienced Wire Harness Assembler responsible for assembling wire harnesses and control panels to be used in the building of specialized aerospace equipment. You’ll work in a time-sensitive shop environment supporting technicians and engineers. We’ll train the right person who has an attention for detail and who can meet deadlines to keep production running and uninterrupted.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assembly of cable harnesses, connectors, and wire terminations using drawings and specification sheets.
- Routes, wires, and assembles electronic components using wire layout boards
- Numerous hand assembly operations based on detailed instructions
- Conducts functional and continuity tests of wire harnesses and cable assemblies using friendly test fixtures
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process assemblies and finished products
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without accommodation. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Able to read, understand, and follow wire harness assembly instructions
- Ability to recognize and gather appropriate materials and tooling necessary to perform work in an organized manner
- Proficient in the operation of various hand and semi-automatic equipment such as crimp presses, wire twisters and wire strippers
- Use of a solder iron to solder wires to switches or connectors
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work unsupervised
- Attention to detail excellent hand dexterity
- Proficient in basic math skills
- Possesses good communication skills and a great attitude
- Some basic computer skills required
Education/Experience:
- 3-5 years of previous assembly/production experience required
- Previous wire harness assembly experience highly preferred

- Ability to stand while working standard shifts of 8-10 hours in a manufacturing environment
- Lifting Requirements: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
- Ability to distinguish colored wires for accurate assembly purposes
- Ability to handle small parts
- Pull/push motion up to 10lbs frequently
