Essential Job Duties:
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
- Respond to calls from computer system end users and provide timely assistance.
- Offer desk-side support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
- Document and track all trouble calls using the problem tracking application.
- Resolve issues or escalate them to the appropriate level of support.
- Follow up with customers to ensure ticket closure and a positive service experience.
Hardware and Software Management:
- Configure, maintain, install, and replace end user hardware and software.
- Perform necessary repairs or coordinate with vendors for repairs.
- Install and configure software applications, including operating systems and antivirus updates.
- Ensure proper data system backups, media management, and security protocols.
Consultation and Procurement:
- Consult with offices to determine hardware and software needs.
- Advise on current technology options and obtain quotes for new equipment.
- Place orders for existing and new equipment with manager and director approval.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Two years of experience in a help desk/user support environment.
- One year of experience in an NT Local Area Network environment and VPN network.
Additional Information:
- This position may require travel to multiple customer sites.
- Light physical demands, including exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally.
