Title: Restaurant Supervisor (Part-Time)
Reports to: House Manager

Summary of Position:
- The Restaurant Supervisor is an exciting opportunity in a reputable and long standing restaurant. As the Restaurant Supervisor you would have the opportunity to help train and shape the direction of a popular restaurant. You would assist the FOH Management Team by acting at the restaurant supervisor 2-3 shifts per week, developing management and leadership skills and learning more about restaurant management. You'll be a key person in ensuring we achieve our mission of creating remarkable dining & hospitality experiences which keep our guests returning.

Duties & Responsibilities:
To ensure that all guests are delighted with their dining & hospitality experience at all times. This includes:
- Being a leader in a group of enthusiastic restaurant professionals, helping to teach them while also learning from them.
- Successfully carry out all Floor Supervisor, Opening Manager, and Closing Manager responsibilities for the designated number of shifts per week and to help out wherever needed when present in the restaurant outside of those designated shifts.
- Consistently communicate with Luna Red’s guests about their dining experience to receive feedback in order to improve upon any areas that are not being executed to our standards.
- Be the liaison between FOH and BOH as Manager on Duty to make sure that all important and necessary information (86’D items, large party reservations, open menu counts, etc.) is communicated each shift.
- Fill in for FOH positions as needed when restaurant is short-staffed on your supervisor shifts
- Fill in for FOH Management in times of illness, emergencies, or vacation.
- Represent company policy and correct employee etiquette at all times as an example for FOH to follow.
- Assist FOH Management with new employee training and monitoring progress
- Constantly monitor ambiance (lighting, temperature, music volume, cleanliness, etc.) when in the restaurant.
- Suggest improvements to daily operations in order to increase efficiency.
- Handle all customer conflicts and issues professionally and hospitably while balancing both the guests’ and Luna Red’s interests.
- Be aware of how the FOH team is performing and give praise or motivational, corrective action as needed to accomplish company goals of delivering excellent customer service.
- Enthusiastically and continually develop staff in all areas of professional conduct.
- Foster teamwork with all FOH staff while representing self as a leader and authority figure at all times. Employees should respect the person in this position as their leader more than as their friend.
- Understand and follow completely all of the company’s policies and procedures regarding employee conduct in order to successfully enforce these policies at all times. Report employee misconduct to FOH Management. Document each situation and communicate all necessary details to FOH Management so that any necessary disciplinary action may be taken.
- Communicate any procedure or policy changes to FOH staff as well as menu changes, current promotions, and anything else FOH staff needs to know to be effective and successful in their positions.
- Balance the Floor Bank, Bar Bank, Outside Bar Bank, and any other cash bags used during your shift.
- Perform daily inspections of all restaurant areas to ensure that they are clean and attractive. Assign cleaning/maintenance tasks to FOH staff as needed to maintain upkeep.
- Be proficient in all POS functions and reservation systems. Suggest revisions as needed to improve efficiencies.
- Maintain daily Avero Manager Log for each of your shifts. Be up-to-date with reviewing the Manager Logs for other managers’ shifts.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations to ensure the well-being of all guests and staff alike at all times. Communicate and address any potential hazards immediately.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Compensation: Depends on Experience, Range from $20-24/hr.

This is an hourly, non-exempt position for purposes of FLSA and California Law.
