Lunds & Byerlys Highland Park is currently hiring for a vibrant and outgoing full-time Food Service Manager to create a sensational shopping experience for our customers! This position works a full-time schedule and earns a competitive wage of $23.43- $25.43/hour.
We operate 7 days/week and are open from 6:00am-10:00pm. For this position we are looking for someone with availability around the hours of 6:00am to 10:00pm.

FOOD SERVICE MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coach, mentor, and lead direct reports to accomplish goals of the department and personal goals for each staff member.
- Supervise direct reports to ensure satisfactory performance of all job functions and compliance with company polices, operation procedures, and government regulations.
- Schedule direct reports ensuring coverage during peak business times.
- Evaluate product quality, selection, condition, and merchandising throughout food service operations including hot bars and salad bars.
- Monitor food service operations to ensure food safety requirements are adhered to including hand washing, temping, food storage, and employee health, take action as needed to correct unsafe situations.
- Ensure appropriate inventory levels to accommodate menu plans and forecasted demand
- Monitor inventory, sales, and shrink in all food service areas to ensure profitability and use "FIFO" guidelines to ensure proper fresh food rotation.
- Establish and maintain store specific operational standards and ensure compliance with company operational standards.
- Review financial performance reports and analyze and interpret data to identify opportunities to obtain cost savings objectives through efficient planning of resources, including labor.
- Oversee food service menu development and collaborate to ensure guest satisfaction with popular, as well as trend forward menu options.

MINMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Licensing Required:
- Food Safety certification or ability to obtain
- Experience
- Two or more years' work experience within the related technical/functional work area
- LFHI Competencies expected of all employees include: action oriented, communicates effectively, customer focus and instills trust.
- Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- A service-oriented individual with a high energy, positive and friendly demeanor
- Strong understanding of food preparation and food service operations
- Knowledge and aptitude of financial reporting systems and concepts
- Computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
- Sound judgment, decision making, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects
- Strong delegation skills
- Ability to work closely with internal and external customers
- Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse facility
- Ability to comply with USDA, FDA, OSHA and all other regulatory agencies
- Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English
