Operations Supervisor

Summary: The Operations Supervisor will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day planning, coordinating, manufacturing, logistics, and sanitation operations at our growing manufacturing facility located in Salem, New Hampshire. The selected candidate will provide leadership to the overnight staff for maintaining plant cleanliness to ensure a safe and sanitary food manufacturing facility, in compliance with SOPs, HACCP, GMP's, SQF, BRC, FDA and OSHA requirements, along with overseeing the overnight logistics operations of the facility.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage strategic sanitation programs, policies, plans, and processes (SSOPs, Master Cleaning Schedule, CIP) to ensure that sanitation meets regulatory safety requirements and customer compliance.
- Oversee the facility's overnight receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
- Stay current with the latest production management and industry best practices to help continually evolve Sals Wholesale products and business tactics.
- Analyze all Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to identify areas for top focus and continuous improvements including delivery to promise/service, cost of poor quality, shipments targets, and spending.
- Management of an overnight sanitation/logistics team, which includes undertaking training and personal development as necessary to meet organizational objectives. This also includes defining roles, the scope of responsibility, and the distribution of work as needed.
- Works with production and other management to plan and schedule work of supervised staff to meet sanitation and logistic operation schedules while maximizing productivity.
- Responsible for inbound/outbound logistics, of finished goods, raw material, and packaging at the facility.
- Recommend measures to continuously improve sanitation methods, equipment performance, and quality of products produced and distributed by Sals Wholesale.
- Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with a manufacturing environment within a leadership capacity.
- Ability to oversee 50 employees in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing operations in a multi-temperature food industry environment.
- Experience leading a USDA, Safety Inspection Service (FSIS), and FDA plant required. Experience working in an SQF-certified facility is required.
