POSITION SUMMARY:
This Research Associate position on our Preclinical Research/T Cell Stemness team will work on early T cell product development. The Research Associate executes all scientific research and development strategies with the input of their supervisor and works independently with their team on a variety of complex assays. Will perform analysis of situations or data that require in-depth evaluation of variable factors as well as exercise independent judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Responsible for carrying out a variety of experiments within multiple areas of focus, keeping up with current innovation in the field, learning new techniques useful in getting data to support current projects and networking with colleagues outside their own area of expertise.
KEY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, execution and analysis of experiments under guidance
• Setup of relevant assays and models for project studies using existing SOPs
• Internal collaboration with Scientists to interrogate our novel therapies using these assays and models
• Setup and maintenance of a highly functioning lab
• Analysis and presentation of experimental data to the supervisor and project teams
• Generation and maintenance of electronic lab notebook reports, including statistical data analysis

PREFERRED EDUCATION:
• BSc in biotechnology, molecular biology, microbiology, immunology, oncology or related field or a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience within the area of focus

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Mammalian cell culture experience, preferably experience culturing primary human immune cells, T cells, TIL culture experience is advantageous
• Cell-based experience with in vitro assays
• Multi-parameter flow cytometry experience

• Sterile tissue culture techniques and working with human immune cells.
