Due to our tremendous growth in 2022, we are looking to add a Working Shop Foreman position at our Columbus, MS Location.
REPORTS TO: Branch Manager
MAJOR GOAL: To improve the Operating Efficiency of the Service Department
DUTIES:
• Responsible for all customer communication regarding service work, including informing customers of progress or delaying encountered during the repair process.
• Provides a quote to all customers for shop work and obtains prior approval.
• Prior to necessary additional work, obtain customers’ approvals on quotes.
• Approve repair orders prior to closing to ensure accuracy of quotes, labor story and make necessary adjustments.
• Communicate with customers on the status of the repair prior to invoicing.
• Inform customers of repairs not covered by warranty before shop work begins.
• Settle disputes or policy adjustments to the satisfaction of the customer.
• Inspect all incoming and outgoing machines and develop repair recommendations.
• Provide Rental damage notifications and verify same is completed the same day a unit is returned.
• Operate machines as necessary to identify needed repairs.
• Develop the following days work plan at the end of each day.
• Perform repairs and PDI as practical and assist technicians as needed.
• Make adjustments to the schedule as necessary and notify the customer.
• Maintain shop equipment in good working order.
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years work experience in related field
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience required
• Strong knowledge of diesel, hydraulics, electrical and mechanical repairs/maintenance.
• Must have own tools
• Adaptable to manage competing and changing priorities
• Strong Customer Service, Communication, and Interpersonal skills
• Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office, Bobcat’s electronic support, and our operating system
• Team building skills
Salary : $37,600 - $47,600
