Pay Range: $21.00 - $24.00/hr. based on experience

A Brief Overview

The Credit Clerk is responsible for the credit collection process and other routine office duties; may assist the Credit Manager in some of these functions. This position has direct reporting responsibility to the Finance Manager or the Credit Manager where appropriate.

What you will do
  • Review and approve all requests for credit using appropriate company guidelines.
  • Handle all accounts receivable collections for assigned location.
  • Make contact and take appropriate action to collect on all NSF checks.
  • Assist in Accounts receivable, cash receipts/collections and daily deposit.
  • Prepare and distribute all monthly statement of accounts.
  • Handle all reporting, filing, and collections paperwork on a timely basis.
  • Monitor status and progress of all trip/travel programs.
  • Enforce all aspects of company credit policy while handling various duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
  • Cross-train as required in other areas.
  • Complies with Company's attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned by location management

Education Qualifications
  • High School Required or
  • GED Required

Experience Qualifications
  • 1-2 years office administration including accounting related duties. Required and
  • Some experience in credit collections Preferred

Skills and Abilities
  • Special skills/knowledge required-Ability to handle interpersonal conflict, strong verbal and written skills, and ability to pursue collections as needed to meet goals of company.
  • Working knowledge of collections and lien holder laws.
  • Confidentiality requirement

  • Other-Computer literate in applicable software and hardware applications.
