Sales Representative

Lynch Furniture has been a staple in the Finger Lakes since 1905. Our 5th generation family-owned furniture store opened in downtown Canandaigua in 2001. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, quality product, fair prices and a fun, friendly buying experience.

We are seeking a responsible and highly self-motivated, customer service-oriented Sales Representative to join our team. Our ideal candidate must be professional and have excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly, outgoing personality and positive outlook.

Job Requirements

• Desire to work in a commissioned sales environment.
• High School diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Business casual dress, neat, clean, and professional appearance.
• 2 years of customer service and/or sales experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer and internet skills
• Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Ability and willingness to work retail schedule to include weekends, some nights, and holidays.
• Able to work in a varied paced retail store.
• Ability to bend, kneel, squat, walk stairs and lift to 25lbs as needed.
• Ability to assist customers throughout our store with three stories of showrooms for periods of up to 8 hours or more.

Expectations

• Consult with customers to determine their needs and discuss various furnishing options.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of current furniture industry and use that knowledge to guide customers through the furniture purchasing process.
• Assist in setting up showroom floor for promotions.
• Assist in maintaining a neat showroom display
• Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the direction of management.
