The successful candidate will support our team in all aspects of real estate transactions, property management, and related legal matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, review, and management of real estate transaction documents, including purchase agreements, leases, and closing documents.
- Conduct due diligence for property acquisitions, including title and survey reviews, zoning analyses, and environmental assessments.
- Support property management operations by preparing and maintaining property management agreements, tenant correspondence, and compliance documents.
- Coordinate and manage closings for multifamily real estate transactions, ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
- Research and analyze legal issues related to real estate and property management, providing summaries and recommendations to the legal team.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date files and records for all real estate and property management matters.
- Liaise with external counsel, title companies, and other third parties involved in real estate transactions.
- Assist in the preparation and management of litigation related to property management, including tenant disputes and enforcement of lease terms.
- Stay current on relevant laws and regulations affecting institutional multifamily real estate and property management.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Paralegal certification preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on institutional multifamily real estate and property management.
- Comprehensive understanding of real estate transaction processes, property management practices, and relevant legal principles.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
