Title: Human Resources Assistant
Reports to: Plant Manager
Summary: Responsible for a variety of administrative functions relative to the day-to-day operations of Human Resources at our Paris, IL facility and provide support to our corporate Human Resources Department.
Specific Duties:
● Responsible for orientation and employment related clerical work and records.
● Coordinates distribution of performance review forms.
● Responsible for maintaining day to day factory labor and attendance records.
● Complete daily Management Report.
● Responds to unemployment claims and testifies or arranges for testimony at Unemployment Compensation hearings.
● Responsible for processing Short Term Disability paperwork.
● Prepares/maintains census report.
● Assists with safety training and updating safety training matrix.
● Assists corporate office with annual open enrollment and orientation for all benefit plans.
● Maintains applicant flow log.
● Has primary responsibility for handling general phone calls and visitors.
● Maintains official government/company notice bulletin boards.
● Assists with various employee relations projects and problems as they arise.
Managerial and Supervisory Responsibility:
● None.
Position Qualifications:
● High school diploma and one to two years of college level work or its equivalent.
● Knowledge of HR practices, procedures, and regulations
● Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
● Excellent communication skills for interacting with employees at all levels
● Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
● Bilingual Preferred
