The Position
The Office Recruiter will operate as an individual contributor, responsible for recruiting personnel. They will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating and placing personnel in domestic and international locations. This resource will serve as a high performing, highly skilled resource who has a successful track record of sourcing high quality candidates, executing on the end-to-end talent acquisition process. Primary responsibilities include:
- Deep understanding of the organization's plans and priorities; uses this knowledge to create and execute on talent acquisition strategies and plans
- Understanding workforce planning and staff forecasting, and how this feeds into recruiting activities and timelines
- Actively keeping management aware of progress
- Sources candidates to fill priority roles
- Works with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, to include pre-award
- Identifies improvement areas; executes improvement actions
- Creating and delivering Excel-based reports
- Determining where/if when to use 3rd party resources
The Responsibilities
- Sourcing and attracting candidates by using databases, recruiting sourcing tools, etc
- Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications
- Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives
- Screen candidates resumes and job applications
- Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule
- Assess applicants relevant skills, knowledge, and organizational fit
- Onboard new employees in order to become fully integrated with the organization
Education
An undergraduate degree in human resources, business and/or a related discipline is required.
Professional Qualifications
- 5-7 years recruiting experience
- Prior experience successfully sourcing high quality candidates within a construction and engineering organization
- Ability to operate in a fast-Epace environment / the candidate is "switched on"
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Strong analytical thinker; comfortable working with data/Excel
- Strategic thinker – and a hands-on "do-er"
- Able to work with ambiguity and change
- Be able and willing to solve challenges through innovation; able to work with minimal direction and supervision; proactive, not reactive.
- Experience with HR systems and tools such as an ATS and HRIS
Abilities:
- Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
- Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
- Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
- Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
- Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
- Identify and understand the speech of another person.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish preferred)
- Ability to travel on very short notice.
