Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Ophthalmology practice. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for providing administrative support in a medical office setting, ensuring efficient operations and exceptional patient service. The ideal candidate will have experience in the eye care field and possess strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
-Recall patients who are in need of follow up appointments.
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments
- Update patient records with accurate demographic and insurance information
- Assist with medical administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a medical office preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
