Practice Lead - Senior Civil Engineer

Mabbett & Associates, Inc. (Mabbett®), an award-winning, industry-leading, environmental, health and safety, and architectural-engineering consulting firm, is seeking a self-motivated, full-time senior project manager to join our growing engineering team. The candidate selected for this position will provide project management and program support for our Architectural/Engineering (A/E) Projects, as well as assist on other engineering and environmental consulting projects.

The position will manage a team of professionals to deliver a wide-range of civil and environmental engineering projects. The candidate selected for this position will oversee the preparation of engineering designs, reports, and permit applications for various projects.

Additional responsibilities include mentoring and developing technical staff, being actively involved with recruitment efforts, managing existing clients and assisting with efforts to attract new clients. As such, demonstrated marketing/business development experience, including prospect meetings and proposal preparation is key.

This is a hybrid position based out of the firm’s Corporate Headquarters located in Stoneham, MA office.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• 10 - 15 years of progressive experience in private or federal A/E and/or engineering projects.
• Demonstrated managerial and marketing/business development experience.
• Demonstrated technical experience, including managing multi discipline design teams, preparing designs, construction documents, and specifications.
• Interface with client by presenting designs and responding to comments.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) License Required (Massachusetts preferred).
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
• Excellent organizational and personal communication skills; ability to successfully interact with clients, staff and peers clearly and directly.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check, as well as a pre-employment physical and drug screen, to include cannabis.
• Ability to occasionally travel.
