WAGES AND BENEFITS

$85,000 - $90,000 annually; generous PTO policy; 24 hours of paid employee volunteer time; competitive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; retirement matching and additional contribution after one-year of service and immediate vesting on all contributions; 12 weeks of paid parental leave with an additional 30 day transition time; professional development opportunities; ample resources & technology provided for ergonomic home office setup; beautiful new office space available in Northeast Minneapolis.

 

Schedule

This is a hybrid position that may require traveling to member locations, attending virtual member meetings and working onsite at member locations from time to time. This position regularly works during normal business hours but may include occasional evening and/or weekend hours.

 

A Typical Day in the Life…

A typical day as HR Manager of Systems & Data at MACC provides an opportunity to lead IT and Infrastructure initiatives with a team of professionals. This includes providing data points for members around data justice and recommendations on how to best use the data provided. Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Compiling, developing, and analyzing human resources data for member reporting and use to support data justice.
  • Compiling HR data and metrics from the human resource information system (HRIS) and other outputs.
  • Supporting staffing and recruiting processes with data and statistics to track trends and patterns.
  • Ensuring mechanisms for gathering data are current with the most recent information available such as latest salary information for compensation analysis.
  • Analyzing other industry practices and making recommendations to management.
  • Educating HR Services team members about company policies, HR practices, and data integrity.
  • Preparing reports of data results and presenting findings to management.
  • Recognizing and suggesting short-term and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics.
  • Contributing to system decision-making, scoping, and arranging HR system projects in support of the overall HR strategy.
  • Leading HR strategic initiatives related to Staffing, Payroll and HR Systems.
  • Elevating the performance of HR Staffing functions (i.e. assessing service level standards, streamlining processes, creating member-friendly processes for nonstandard hires, etc.)
  • Participating in annual work planning of HR Services and creation of the HR Services Roadmap.
  • Interpreting applicable policies, laws, and regulations to ensure that the incumbent and subordinate employees are in compliance.
  • Advising management on the development of HR information technology strategy and technology deployment.
  • Ensuring that HR information is maintained in various systems with a high degree of quality, reliability, and consistency and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and recognized best practices.
  • Proposing, advocating for, and implementing new systems and/or operational changes that improve the timeliness, effectiveness, and/or efficiency of HR functions through process and system optimization.

 

Who You Are

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or have demonstrably equivalent knowledge gained through alternative courses of study and experience.
  • You have a minimum of five years of work experience in a Human Resources role, and a minimum of two years in data or analytics.
  • You have previous experience in an HR role consulting supervisors regarding employee relations, or you have experience acting in a supervisory role (in any industry).
  • It is preferable that you have previous experience working in a nonprofit setting.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP professional certification is a plus. MACC supports employees in receiving and maintaining professional certifications.
  • You demonstrate a working understanding of Human Resource principles, practices, and procedures.
  • You are flexible and able to adapt to quickly changing circumstances and responsibilities.
  • You demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills displayed through strong listening, writing, and speaking abilities.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft suite software, internet resources, and data management software.
  • You are a self-motivated, detailed-oriented individual with a strong ability to effectively prioritize.
  • You possess strong problem-solving and business acumen skills.
  • You have the ability to establish, maintain, and grow healthy working relationships with internal and external partners in the course of work.
  • You have the ability to work independently on a broad variety of projects.
  • You have the ability to travel to member sites across the Twin Cities Metro area.
  • You have a valid driver’s license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet MACC’s driving record requirements. Please note that if the license was not issued in the state of Minnesota, you have 60 days after becoming a Minnesota resident in which to apply for your Minnesota driver's license or permit (not applicable for new hires living out of state).
