MacElree Harvey, Ltd., a well-respected mid-sized law firm is seeking an Office Assistant for their West Chester location. This position would provide administrative support to the Firm including copying, scanning, pick-up and distribution of mail, filing documents at court house, and receptionist coverage duties.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assists with filing, scanning and copying jobs with in the firm.
- Handles pick-up and distribution of mail.
- Files documents at the court house. Handles court runs and makes local hand deliveries as needed.
- Takes FedEx and UPS packages to drop off boxes.
- Handles post office run, drops off stamped mail, collects mail from post office, and brings mail back and sorts for distribution.
- Handles special requests from Firm employees, sometimes on short notice.
- Supports and assists with requests for loading and retrieving files of firm records in a timely manner.
- Handles other duties as required.
- Receptionist Coverage duties as needed.
Position Specifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle to drive to branch locations and other delivery locations.
- Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills including responding promptly to internal customer needs and resolving issues. Maintains a professional attitude and appearance.
- Knowledge of local geographic delivery area and most efficient routes.
- Punctuality and physical stamina are necessary.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions from several sources.
- Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.
