Machina Labs is seeking a technically skilled and dynamic individual to join our Government Sales team as a Sales Engineer. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our manufacturing processes and our valued customers in a presales capacity as well as post-sales support. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless communication, understanding customer requirements, translating requirements to our engineering teams, and providing manufacturing solutions that exceed expectations.
Sales Engineers are the lynchpin between our Sales and Engineering teams. Our mission is to serve our customers on both pre-production as well as production operations.
- Presales Support: Build trust-based relationships with the Account Executives and provide technical leadership in the customer part identification and qualification, cell acquisition and RFP process. Partner with the supply chain professionals and engineers within the customer technical teams we work with.
- Project Management – Own overall responsibility for successful execution of dev plans with customers, ensuring that the right cross functional teams are formed and coordinating to execute the plan. Own deliverables to customer at each milestone
- Post Sales Support: Be responsible for customer success and ensure that our technology is meeting the customer’s specifications and needs. Nurture the account. More than a supplier, we ambition to be a strategic partner that influences design decisions as the product and capabilities mature.
- Customer Liaison: In partnership with the Account Executive, act as the primary point of contact between Machina Labs and our customers during the entire sales cycle, ensuring clear and effective communication at all stages of the sales process amongst all the internal resources working on the project (process development, applications, robotics, engineering and production)
- RFP: Prepare accurate and influential RFPs for manufacturing services based on customer requirements and perform DFM analyses to optimize product designs for manufacturability, cost, quality and lead time.
- Additional Project Management: Generate and manage new work orders in accordance with customer specifications and production schedules, ensuring timely execution and resource allocation.
- Customer Support: Provide technical engineering support and troubleshooting assistance to customers during the work execution phase, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring overall satisfaction with Machina Labs’s products and services.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing tools, workflows, and SOPs to streamline our technical sales processes and improve efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a relevant STEM field.
- 6 years of manufacturing experience in a high-intensity hardware technology production environment may be considered (robotics, aerospace, defense, automotive surgical equipment).
- 5 years of experience working in a technical sales support role preferably supporting commercial Aerospace and Defense OEMs and/or federal customers, especially DoD agencies.
- Proven track record of project management and execution in a manufacturing setting.
- Intelligent Project Management: Demonstrated ability to prioritize high-impact projects, manage resources effectively, and drive projects to completion within tight deadlines.
- Analytical and Systematic: Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to develop systematic solutions for complex manufacturing challenges.

Salary : $140,000 - $235,000
