A top-rated law firm in the Chicago loop is seeking a Legal Recruiting Coordinator to join their team! The Legal Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the recruitment and hiring of legal professionals within the organization. This role involves coordination for the recruitment process, heavy scheduling and administration for the ATS, and supporting the legal recruiting team in various administrative tasks. The compensation range for this role is up to $55-75K/yr commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities of the Legal Recruiting Coordinator:
- Coordinate interview schedules, including arranging interviews with candidates and interview panel members.
- Manage and update job descriptions to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
- Maintain a database of potential candidates and build a talent pool.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates and provide timely updates on their application status.
- Conduct reference checks on potential hires and ensure they meet the necessary background and credential requirements.
- Assist in preparing and extending job offers to selected candidates.
- Facilitate the onboarding process by coordinating orientation and training activities.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential recruitment records and documentation.
- Draft and post job vacancies on various job boards, the company website, and other relevant platforms.
- Organize and participate in job fairs, career events, and other recruitment outreach activities.
- Collaborate with law schools, legal associations, and other organizations to build relationships and attract top talent.
- Prepare recruitment-related reports and metrics to track the effectiveness of recruitment efforts.
- Provide insights and recommendations for process improvement.
Requirements of the Legal Recruiting Coordinator:
- Bachelor's degree (preferred).
- Previous experience working with an ATS system required
- Previous experience in legal recruiting, human resources, or talent acquisition is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using recruitment software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and the legal industry is advantageous.
