Description
Mackin Educational Resources is a well-established, highly respected company that has an opening for a Machine Operator Trainer / Group Lead at our Topeka, KS Bindery.
- Become fully trained in all Bindery tasks, procedures and policies
- Handle working on lines with employees when not training or handling employee work flow issues
- Train and record employees progress in each machine operator task
- Monitor work output, ensuring quality and quantity goals are being met
- Retrain, coach and mentor employees to ensure they are striving for continued improvement in order to meet goals
- Assist employees with work performance questions and issues, both proactively and reactively, as needed to maintain a cooperative working environment
- Evaluate employee performance and communicate your assessments to the Shift Supervisor
- Adhere to all Mackin and departmental policies and procedures
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years previous employee training experience, using both visual and written training methods
- Excellent verbal and written communication and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects concurrently
- Knowledge in proper record keeping to ensure all employee training paperwork is current and accessible to management
- Additional duties as become necessary and/or are assigned by management
Education & Experience
- 1 to 2 years’ experience training employees
- Previous experience in Bindery machine operations helpful
Hours
- Full-time Monday – Friday, 3:30pm – 12pm
- Able to work mandatory overtime as needed
Wages
- Hourly rate based on education and experience
