Metform, Savanna IL Metform, a division of MacLean-Fogg, is an employee-focused global Company with excellent benefits and perks…a team environment where your voice matters, and you will have the opportunity for training and development to advance.   We are building a thriving culture and business is growing fast.  Metform is the area’s largest manufacturing company with four locations in Carroll County, Illinois.   Job Title CNC Process Engineer (Tool Design Engineer)   Role Summary Perform functions to design new tooling and develop CNC programs to support high volume machining of gear blanks and fasteners for the automotive industry.   Responsibilities Include ·      Write CNC lathe programs in G & M code ·      Involved in the selection of new processes and equipment for CNC machining ·      Contribute to & recommend continuous improvement projects ·      Troubleshoot production tooling problems ·      Provide support to manufacturing departments ·      Design work holding, gaging & selection of tooling for new product ·      Participate in customer problem solving resolution following 8D & 3L5Y guidelines ·      Assist setup personal in startup of new product ·      Provide communication link between Manufacturing activities and Engineering Department ·      Assist in measuring development parts & operating equipment as necessary to achieve engineering goals and project timing ·      Participate in process review for new product quotation process ·      Follow Engineering work instruction documents ·      Use and maintain shared drawing database making appropriate documents up-to-date and available to others ·      Complete ECNs and ECRs for change as needed ·      Create and contribute to PFMEAs and Control plans per AIAG format ·      Maintain a safe and orderly working area ·      Follow all Safety, Environmental & Quality Policies and guidelines   Experience and Qualifications ·      Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, but may consider solid candidates with a 2-year degree ·      AutoCAD ·      SolidWorks ·      MS Office Suite   Benefits and Compensation ·      Effective Immediately: Competitive Wages, Holiday Pay (10 days/year), Floating Holiday, Free Wellness Program, Employee Giveaways and Discounts ·      After 30 Days: Medical, Dental, Vision, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, and Life Insurance ·      After 60 Days: 401(k) with Employer Match ·      The first of the month after 90 Days: Vacation ·      After 1 Year: Tuition Reimbursement (upon approval) ·      And more!
