Job Summary:
Responsible for supplier quality programs, initiative, and projects.
The QA Manager is designated to provide absenteeism coverage on an interim basis in the absence of the Quality Assurance Supplier Coordinator.
Summary of Essential Job Duties:
- Develop and implement supplier quality systems including supplier manuals, work instructions, metric reporting, and various quality documents.
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
- Manage and maintain the CAPA Program for all Non-Conformances.
- Manage and lead the Continuous Improvement Team and their activities.
- Develop and implement supplier training on quality systems and related tools.
- Serve as an active quality liaison and main point of contact between suppliers, supply chain, and operations.
- Work with suppliers to obtain and close Corrective Actions and ensure root causes have been identified and eliminated.
- Responsible for addressing and resolving supplier issues and driving formal corrective action.
- Lead the tracking and root cause analysis of designated supplier’s product/process non-conformances.
- Lead and conduct supplier assessments in conjunction with supply chain to qualify potential new suppliers and/or evaluate existing suppliers.
- Assist with supplier performance monitoring.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies:
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge and experience with ISO9001: 2008, AIB, HACCP, SQF and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze blueprints.
- Flowcharting ability and procedure analysis.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
- Data analysis skills coupled with above average report writing, and chart development.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and change priorities.
- Excellent organization and record keeping skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel
- Ability to effectively work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to identify and solve problems.
- Strong attention to detail.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- Associates Degree or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly lift, bend, reach, twist and turn.
- Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand: use hands to fingers, handle or feel: and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch: and talk and hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp.
- The job involves extensive amount of walking throughout the manufacturing facility.
Work Environment:
- This position works in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne paper particles.
- The employee is frequently required to use the computer.
- While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to operate standard office equipment (including computer, telephone, copier, and fax machine) and requires long periods of sitting behind a desk, performing tasks on computer.
