Summary:
The Macon Mayhem has been a proud member of the Southern Professional Hockey League since 2014. The Mayhem is located in the heart of Georgia, just an hour south of Atlanta and two hours west of beautiful Savannah, GA. The Mayhem has seen success on and off the ice winning a league championship and elevating multiple staff members to advanced positions inside the sports industry. We are seeking our next team member to join this successful organization.
Position Overview:
The Macon Mayhem is seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual to join our team as an Account Executive. As a member of our team, you will provide exemplary customer service and proactively engage current Corporate Sponsors to increase retention and seek new business maximizing revenue for season tickets, group tickets, and mini-plans. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, the ability to troubleshoot, a great work ethic, and the ability to work under pressure.
Requirements:
- Focusing mainly on Corporate Sales but have the opportunity to sell Season Tickets Packages, Group Tickets Packages, Suite Packages, etc.
- Personally manage and maintain all Corporate Partnership Sales.
- Answer questions and address issues from clients, either through phone calls or email, and disseminate inquiries and issues as needed, while handling difficult customer situations effectively.
- Respond to all inquiries and concerns from clients in a timely and professional manner.
- Build relationships with Corporate Partners and Season Ticket Members around Macon to continue to upgrade and obtain referral sales from the existing account base.
- Maximize new business opportunities through aggressive personal prospecting and lead generation efforts.
- Generate sales revenue by way of new and existing theme nights and initiatives.
- Meet and exceed required positional goals, including outbound calls, client meetings, personal prospecting, and others as assigned.
- Ability to handle heavy phone volume, both outbound and inbound required.
- Will be required to work select nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Attendance required at all Macon Mayhem home games and other required organization or community events, activities, or functions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree majoring in a related field preferred
- Hardworking, dependable & motivated self-starter
- Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Proven oral, written, and presentation skills
- Able to work a 40-hour workweek plus games and other outside events as needed
- Excellence in organization, prioritization, and strong customer service
- Previous sales and customer service experience preferred but not required
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mentality
