Position Summary
To provide direction and support, which include Customer Demand Management, Inventory Management, Production Planning, Scheduling, Warehousing, and Logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures. Responsibilities include coaching and mentoring Training Development Specialists, Team Leaders, Area Coordinators and Advance Material Handlers. Actively participates as needed in interviewing, hiring and training associates.
- Supports the department automated time and attendance (Kronos) system in accordance with Department Manager guidelines.
- Establishes a strong presence on the floor to set and communicate transportation expectations, standards, and evaluate results so all associates understand the expectations.
- Coordinate and maintain all E-2000 functionality. Establish and support backup system in order to service all accounts when the system is down. When it is up and running ensures all orders are cost accountable.
- Maintain operational practices and procedures consistent with our ISO9001:2000 program and certification requirements.
- Provide support to our corporate customer service team in a manner that meets established business rules for all commercial business units supported from the facility.
- Responsible for overall inventory accuracy at the facility. The Manager maintains controls on all operational procedures to ensure accurate inventory receipts of inbound material, inventory storage locations, inventory storage procedures, inventory accuracy for order shipments and material handling/dispositions. .
- Receive all incoming stock into E-2000 for order entry availability; strives towards achieving putting all inbound material away within 24 hours of receipt. Ensure adequate and timely distribution of materials to attain maximum sales potential consistent with good inventory control.
- Assigns associates to specific duties in a manner that fosters team work and individual growth & development. Schedules personnel and equipment to meet customer needs and productivity goals. Supports and/or promotes the plant-wide and department application of the Line of Progression (LOP) system. Posts established criteria and reviews accordingly.
- Works with outside associates at distribution centers and manufacturing locations assigned to move goods to ensure efficient use of resources including time and cost.
- Provides functional operational leadership that supports annual plant initiatives. Drives focus and continuous improvement in annual safety, quality, employee development, housekeeping and operating expense (cost) arenas.
- Coordinates with factories, warehousing and claims on the return for credit of damaged, misdirected and unwanted goods. Ensures corporate transportation manager timely resolves transportation claims and product disposal.
- Administers company and plant policies and procedures covering Personnel, Safety and Production issues. Operate the facility as a service organization with emphasis on serving the customer (both internal and external clients).
- The primary responsibility is the support and development of people and processes to effectively manage the flow and production of customer orders from receipt to shipment.
- Exercising a high level of autonomy, this position is responsible for overseeing the assigned areas of Production Planning and Supply Chain. A considerable impact can be made on lead time, on-time deliveries to our customers, working capital, and company profitability.

- Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk and sit, and be able to work at a computer for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to regularly walk through the manufacturing plant or warehouse facility and is, therefore, exposed to moderate noise levels.

Selection Criteria:

Education:
- A Bachelor college degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or other related field required.
- List preferred additional education / certification / trainings

Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a related field along with 1-3 years previous Supervisory experience.
- Must be computer literate in Microsoft Excel and Word programs. ERP (enterprise resource planning) software experience preferred.
- Must have exceptional communications skills, both oral and written, to successfully interact with all levels of the organization
- Strong knowledge of management duties and supervisory skills
- Strong organizational, administrative, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- In depth knowledge of production planning, manufacturing, sales and supply chain functionality and processes.
