The Shipping Clerk Power Lines Lead oversees the Power Lines shipping clerk team ensuring all shipping orders within our ERP and shipping software systems are prioritized and processed properly.
What you can offer us:
- Assisting Clerk team with Processing Orders, Rate Quotes, Document printing, and any other support Clerk’s need
- Process special project orders, creating appropriate labels and documents and working with account manager’s on completing these orders by their deadlines
- Monitoring Daily reports, making sure all orders are being processed within ship window and communicating with team if orders are not meeting deadlines
- Working with Picking and Packing Leads, communicating concerns and monitoring daily order flow.
- Communicating with Account Managers in the warehouse portal, making sure all requests are responded to in the appropriate time period.
- Developing and Updating Training documents; working with management making sure all documents for clerks and special projects are accurate and up to date.
- Work with management on daily processes, provide input and find ways to solve bottlenecks in processes.
- Coordinate logistics needs with external customs broker, freight forwarder and drayage carrier.
- Track and trace containers from origin to destination and communicate any delays to all parties involved.
- Approve production bookings from origin forwarder/agents with direction from production team.
- Ensure production orders and documentation are in compliance with customs requirements for import to United States.
- Handle and resolve and issues or delays related to shipments, coordinating with relevant parties for effective solutions.
- Review import broker/custom documentation (knowledge of HTS codes is helpful but not required) on a regular basis
- Coordinate schedules and approve delivery appointments with drayage carriers and receiving warehouse from port to company for inbound receiving
- Coordinate International parcel shipments (FedEx, DHL, UPS)
- Communicate with affiliated departments and teams regarding timelines for incoming production shipments and container loads.

Requirements
Qualifications:

Lead Responsibility:
This position provides direct leadership to employees of the Shipping Department and is responsible for the performance of the employees and the accuracy of all orders shipped.
Work Environment:
The Shipping Department is located in a warehouse environment. Temperatures can vary from warm in the summer and cold in the winter. Typical tools that are used are pallet jacks, forklifts, tape guns, ladders, and box cutters.
Physical Demands:
Position is required to occasionally sit, climb, balance, and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position; work schedule is Monday through Friday; hours are typically 7AM to 4PM, however may occasionally require to start as early as 6AM and may occasionally end as late as 6PM.
Salary : $20 - $22
