Who you are
You, my friend, are a leader who excels in outlining business problems, identifying opportunities, and brainstorming possible solutions for the customer. You are results-oriented and have confidence in analyzing a situation for root causes and then monitoring a solution to ensure it delivers the promised results. You have a high attention to detail and exceptional communication skills, making you more than comfortable working alongside clients and technical team members to design and deliver custom solutions. You are an organized, service-oriented, and creative problem solver. Plus, you have a great deal of experience working on multiple complex projects with many moving parts and deliverables.
What you’ll be doing on the Strategy Team
- Serve as initial touchpoint for new and returning clients
- Lead client discovery on new project opportunities
- Gather, document, analyze, and organize information surrounding client business objectives, problems, environment, technical requirements, and user needs
- Challenge the client’s underlying assumptions in order to determine root causes and ensure the eventual solution will generate proposed outcomes
- Lead ideation sessions with internal and external clients to develop a sound strategy for solving the problem and providing measurable value to the client
- Facilitate brainstorm sessions and scoping meetings for solution options that support the proposed strategy
- Share the rationale and value of Maestro’s proposed strategy and solution options with clients
- Produce project estimates and Statements of Work
- Lead client working sessions and engage in other consulting activities
- Refine, expand, and clarify requirements using workflows, wireframes, user stories, and other frameworks
- Review deliverables at key milestones to ensure alignment with initial project vision
- Design for the collection and analysis of data in order to ensure the prescribed solution delivers the intended results
- Build deep understanding of client’s business and industry in order to provide deep strategic thought that drives and supports future client projects
- Maintain an understanding of trends in the learning and technology spaces
- Contribute to Maestro’s expertise and thought leadership on corporate learning strategy through research, experimentation, and writing
Talents we’re looking for
- A proven history of designing use cases, eliciting requirements, and partnering with business stakeholders
- An interest in psychology, design, and technology and using those areas to solve learning problems with creative solutions
- Ability to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a high emotional intelligence and awareness
- Creative thinker and problem solver
- Strong desire to learn and try new things
- Innovative thinker that can see a big picture and solution around it
- Love for learning – both the act of learning and the learning industry itself
- Ability to “connect the dots” quickly between disparate problems or solutions
- Several years in consulting with a background in solving complex business problems is a plus
- Bonus if you have a history of working in a service firm
