MAG is seeking an experienced Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer that can provide engineering expertise for a wide range of activities in support of acquisition programs. The qualified candidate will support technology assessments, review requirements specifications, system designs, performance analysis, integration efforts, test and evaluation activities and provide recommendations for RF Based material solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Supporting fielding and configuration management activities
- Review design specifications
- Review and analyze system design, performance data, test and evaluation data
- Oversee test and evaluation activities
- Provide recommendations for RF based material solutions
- Other duties may be assigned
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
- US Citizenship
- Must have excellent grasp of computer modeling
- Must have ability to analyze RF broadcasting equipment and suggest improvements
- Must have knowledge of RF hardware systems and testing equipment
- Must have experience analyzing speed and performance of a radio network
- Must have excellent communications skills including the ability to generate focused technical documentation on complex topics
- Must be able to work in a team environment and execute tasks on-quality and on-time
The minimum years of related experience required:
- Must have 3 years of direct experience with RF engineering
Clearance
- TS DoD Security Clearance required; Secret may apply but must be TS/SCI eligible
Education
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, computer science, IT, network technologies or related field.
Desired Requirements
- Knowledge of PEO IEWS, PEO C3T Programs
- Knowledge of DoD Acquisition process
- Experience with Tactical Radio or Electronic Warfare Systems
- Relevant professional certifications
- ie. iNARTE Telecommunications Engineer (International Association for Radio Telecommunications and Electromagnetics)
- IPEP (SCTE) (Internet Protocol Engineering Professional)
- Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA)
- RCDD (BICSI) Registered Communications Distribution Designer
- CTNS (TCO) Certified Telecommunications Network Specialist
- Demonstrated customer partner relationship building skills
Other Qualifications
Physical requirements for the job include the ability to work within an office and field/lab environments.
