About the Role
The Group OT (Operational Technology) manager role for Magna Seating is responsible for the global coordination standards and security measures related to OT systems and Industry 4.0, including development, implementation, and continuous improvement. This role will ensure the harmonized, safe, and secure operations of Operational Technology across the 65 Seating divisions’ shop floor networks. The Group OT Manager is the central point of contact for all Seating divisions globally and acts as a liaison to the Corporate ISRC team, Operations Leadership, GSM, and Divisional IT. This position is accountable for ensuring divisions take the appropriate steps to implement harmonized OT systems, audit, and protect the availability of local production systems. The role must push the Group OT awareness including monitor cyber threat intelligence sources, assessing them for potential attack vectors in collaboration with Magna’s central Security Operations Center (SOC).
Your Responsibilities
- Responsible for helping plants determine life cycle management for OT hardware and software including upgrading and migration of legacy OT systems to meet modern Magna requirements and standards. . Build and own the OT Green Book and Audit divisions.
- Work with operations to strategize the future OT footprint
- Set Industry 4.0 standards for the foundation, and Front-Line Digitization dashboards
- Champion OT Change Management
- Manage and conduct effect OT/Industry 4.0 architecture reviews, ensuring that designs achieve the desired security requirements, scalability, and resilience
- Benchmarking divisional OT activities and read across the best practices, including lessons learned
- Acts as liaison for OT-specific Incident Response. Liaison with SOC, Incident Response teams, vendor, and IT for incident response.
- Support the Divisional IT and Operational team in educating, coaching, and mentoring in operational technology
- Partner with Operation leadership, GSM, and ISRC to perform cybersecurity risk assessments of Operational Technology, identify security gaps, translate gaps into concrete plans or mitigation steps, and oversee the execution of security-related projects
- Apply knowledge of Operational Technology, Industrial Control Systems, Internet of Things, Industrial Internet of Things, MES, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition principles to evolve current architectures that are efficient and meet business needs
- Understanding and experience with RTO, RPO, Operation Technology Asset Inventory, and LAN Segmentation (Segregating Office Network from Shopfloor network)
- Liaise with IT to ensure proper IT/OT network segmentation of new and existing OT systems, achieving segmentation requirements with physical, logical and firewall rule sets in accordance with Magna standards.
- Provides direction on asset management, data & configuration backup, data retention policies and disaster recovery plans for all OT systems.
- Conduct effective OT architecture reviews, ensuring that designs achieve the desired requirements, scalability, and resilience
- Provides advice on the budgetary (capital & operating) requirements of the Division’s OT systems, with attention to budget planning, adherence to budget projections, procurement, and monthly expenditures.
- Identify industry trends, and opportunities; help convert these needs and gaps into technical requirements for OT roadmap
- Build short- and long-term OT technology roadmaps and strategies and communicate the direction to the leadership team.
- Partner with GSM and BRMs to implement OT firewall and Claroty in the Seating Divisions.
- Supports Internal / External Audit efforts regarding ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949 Certification for remote site location (Group Office).
- Supports the requirements as detailed in Standard Operating Procedure 8000 (Quality Management System).
- Ensure employees work in the manner consistent with the organizations established objectives and targets utilizing protective equipment, devices, measures, and procedures as promulgated by state and federal regulations. Establish clear goals for workplace health and safety. Complete safety talks, safety meetings, and required training occur, as defined.
Who we are looking for
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree (or bachelor’s equivalency) or combination of equivalent education and experience.
Experience/Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong understanding of OT networks, protocols, and assets/devices
- OT Cybersecurity experience is highly preferred.
- Flexibility to support Divisional teams in respective time zones.
- Proven adaptability to work with cross-cultural groups within a global organization.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully complete multiple tasks within established and changing deadlines.
- Must demonstrate high initiative, accuracy, and the ability to maintain confidential information, records, and/or files.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.

Salary : $62,400 - $79,000
