Summary of Responsibilities


To support manufacturing in reaching quality goals while maintaining productivity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Maintain documents within the prescribed and approved Document Control Process and Procedure.
  • Review incoming documents for compliance.
  • Write or revise documents and procedures as needed.
  • Create and update operator instructions and visual aids for manufacturing equipment.
  • Archive documents and reports in accordance with the document retention schedule.
  • Maintain Quality Training documentation.
  • Schedule Layered Process Audits in Ease System.
  • Communicate LPA audit findings and track to completion.
  • Maintain audit documents and auditors in Ease System.
  • Train new employees to use Ease System.
  • Update quality process KPIs.
  • Generate scrap and inspection reports.
  • Create Power BI reports to analyze data between internal systems.
  • Maintain information on Fast Response and Quality Information boards.
  • Participate in daily Fast Response meeting.
  • Access customer websites to monitor for quality concerns, bulletins, and updated documents.
  • Work effectively with the Quality Assurance Manager, Operations Manager and department associates for continual improvement of methods, procedures, and policies.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbal and written, with associates and management personnel.
  • Attend and participate in department meetings, plant meetings, and training.
  • Attain safety, quality and productivity goals.
  • Provide reports as required by the Quality Manager.
  • Promote and facilitate Open Door process, effective communication and Fair Treatment.
  • Participate in Continual Improvement activities.
  • Adhere to customer requirements, Quality Management System and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager or designate.


Qualifications


  • Proficient in Microsoft Products (Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, Outlook)
  • Basic knowledge of CMS
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and employees
  • Able to prepare, read and interpret written reports, instructions, procedures and guidelines
  • Able to demonstrate understanding of how job performance affects product quality and customer satisfaction
  • Able to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Able to maintain an excellent attendance record
  • Able to work flexible hours as needed to meet business needs
  • Ability to uphold confidentiality


Education and Experience


  • Associates Degree, or comparable, preferred
  • Knowledge of Williamsburg Manufacturing processes, policies, and procedures
  • Knowledge of customer requirements
  • Knowledge of ISO/IATF 16949 requirements


Work Environment

  • Prominently office work but also work performed in manufacturing plant characterized by temperature extremes, loud noise, chemicals, considerable tow motor traffic and pressure caused by deadlines and interruptions.
  • The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management and customers as required.
  • Overtime as required to meet customer and internal deadlines.

Salary : $36,500 - $46,300
