Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible supporting MMT’s most important asset: its people. The HR Generalist will be a part of all day-to-day human resource functions, including employee onboarding, benefits, compliance activities, recruiting support and HR system administration. The HR Generalist also will help drive key people initiatives around employee engagement and recognition. This is an opportunity to grow your HR expertise and experience as the company continues to grow. The position reports directly to the Senior HR Business Partner.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Serve as ambassador of first impressions, greeting our employees, candidates, and other outside guests
- Maintain and update our HRIS and other HR systems as needed by keying data and completing routine audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with legal requirements
- Support talent acquisition by managing resume reviews, interview scheduling, candidate communications, interview feedback and relationships with third party recruiting firms.
- Answers routine employee requests for information related to policies, procedures, and company programs. Escalates employee relations issues as needed.
- Manages special projects related to employee engagement, recognition, development, and other initiatives.
- Prepare HR reports and analytics when necessary
- Aid with employee onboarding and off-boarding processes
- Maintain a high standard of office appearance, keeping office clean and organized
- Monitor and order inventory for office and breakroom supplies
- Contribute and assist other projects aligned to HR department goals and objectives
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or a related field, or a combination of coursework and experience.
- At least 2 years’ experience working in Human Resources. Benefits administration or recruiting experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated understanding of general HR practices, policies, and employment laws.
- Strict adherence to confidentiality and discretion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening.
- Enjoys building relationships with employees at all levels within the organization. Passion for supporting employees.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing situations and needs.
- Ability to manage time and resources effectively and productively, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office 365.
- Familiarity with HRIS system is desired. Experience with Bamboo is a plus.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
