As a Senior Controls Engineer Lead, you will not only design, optimize, and maintain automation systems, but also provide supervision, mentorship, and technical guidance to automation engineering teams.

What you will do:
  • Lead the design and development of automation systems, including control systems, robotics, and process automation.
  • Provide supervision, mentorship, and technical guidance to automation engineering teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate automation solutions into existing manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Manage automation projects from conception to completion with scope definition, resource allocation, budget management, timeline.
  • Continuously optimize and maintain automation systems to ensure peak performance, reliability, and minimal downtime.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with automation systems, ensuring safety and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of automation designs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and vendors to drive automation initiatives and achieve project goals.
  • Interest in learning new automation technologies and industry trends, proposing and implementing innovative solutions to enhance productivity and competitiveness.
  • Support and promote safety initiatives throughout the company and within manufacturing processes 
What you will need:
  • 5 years of experience in automation engineering role
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of automation industry standards and best practices.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical & Autodesk Inventor.
  • Proven experience in automation system design/implementation, including PLCs, SCADA, HMI, robotics, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in automation.
  • Willingness to travel as required for project implementation and collaboration.
  • Travel up to 25%.

  • Experience in developing and interfacing with a variety of electronic control systems.
  • Experience in designing to certifications and standards (CE, ATEX, ICEX, ISO, UL).
  • Experience with and understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic circuits and systems.
  • Proficiency in Mechanics and Materials.
  • Background in fabrication and machining.
