    POSITION: RTI-A Teacher (1.0 FTE) - Grades K-5

    LOCATION: Williams-Cone School

    HOURS/STATUS: School Year 2022-2023 (one year position)

    CLOSING DATE: Open Until Filled


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Exhibit passion for teaching elementary students (grades K-5), and commitment to helping all students learn at a high level.
    • Work with students in small groups and in-class support in reading and math.
    • Contribute to a school culture of appreciation, collegiality and innovation.
    • Use exceptional communication and collaboration skills, including with families.
    • Demonstrate a strong understanding of emergent and primary Literacy and Mathematics instruction and intervention, and the commitment to keep learning.
    • Support non-instructional duties.
    • All other non-teaching duties, per Teacher’s Contract.
    REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Elementary Education. Background in reading and math preferred.
    • State of Maine Department of Education Teacher Certification in General Elementary or Early Elementary.
    • Knowledge of Title I Guidelines for compliance in services and paperwork.
    • Experience teaching components of balanced literacy, early numeracy, and Marzano’s elements of effective teaching practice highly preferred.
