For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Clinical Nursing Assistants:
- 0-1 years of experience eligible for $2,500 (full time)
- 1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)
- Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
- Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
Position Summary (This position will consist of 32 or 40 hours per week.)
The CRMA/CNA provides personal care services, assistance, support and supervision to residents of the Anderson Inn - Terraces and Courtyard units. Provides services based upon service plan in order to maintain independence, dignity and social well-being. Administers medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: High school diploma or GED is strongly preferred, with reading, comprehension and writing ability at a 12th grade level or higher.
- License/Certifications: Listed on the State of Maine Certified Nursing Assistant Registry.
- Experience: Training/experience as a CNA/CRMA. Experience or interest in working with older adults.
- Skills in nurturing and organizing similar to those in a domestic household.
- Maturity, friendliness and enjoyment in working with people.
- OSHA-MSDS sheets and procedures.
- Fire and safety procedures.
- Knows resident rights and understands abuse and neglect per state regulations.
- Food-handling regulations
- Operation of kitchen appliances (dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, coffeemaker, ice machine, etc.), office equipment (fax machine, photocopier, telephone, etc), and household appliances (vacuum cleaner, etc.).
- Skills in nurturing and organizing similar to those in a domestic household.
- Maturity, friendliness and enjoyment in working with people.
