Position Summary
-
The CT Technologist is a Radiologic Technologist who is trained specifically to perform Computed Tomography imaging for the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of patients according to established protocols. This position may be required to perform diagnostic imaging This is clinical work, performing diagnostic radiographic procedures for use in the evaluation of patients. Work also includes instruction of students and assisting with clerical functions.

In addition to the duties and responsibilities of the staff technologist, this position demonstrates an advanced level of job knowledge and skills normally acquired through work experience and continuing education. The incumbent performs a complete range of radiographic and CT procedures and serves as a technical resource to staff technologists. This technologist is responsible for quality assurance through the observation of imaging practices and film quality of staff technologists in a specified area at all campuses.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
-
Education: Completion of a certificate or degree course of study specifically in Radiologic Technology preferred.

License/Certifications: ARRT certificate and State of Maine license to perform as a Radiologic Technologist required. ARRT CT certified required. BLS required.

Experience: Three years of CT experience preferred.

Must have strong interpersonal skills.

Must be able to work at all sites if needed.
