Summary
For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of RN experience and $20,000 for Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of RN work experience!
- Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
- Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6-months separation from employment.
About MaineHealth Care at Home- Sussman House:
The Sussman House is an inpatient hospice facility on the Pen Bay Medical Center campus. It is owned by the hospital and operated by MaineHealth Care at Home. Any patient admitted to the hospital may be transferred to the Sussman House if they are eligible for, and opt in to, our hospice program. There are seven patient suites which have been carefully designed to feel like home and to accommodate visitors 24/7. Position Summary
- The Hospice House Manager provides oversight and direction for the delivery of care to patients of the Hospice Program in an Inpatient setting. The Hospice House Manager assumes a leadership role in areas of professional practice, staff development, education, research, quality assurance and performance improvement.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN required.
- License/Certifications: Preferred Hospice & Palliative Care certified. Current licensure in State of Maine as a registered professional nurse. Certifications in specialty Med/Surg, BCLS, PALS, (Neonatal Resuscitation, ACLS, ENPC and/or TNCC) are preferred.
- Experience: Three to five years' Medical/Surgical nursing preferred and a minimum of three years' management experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent assessment, teaching and documentation skills.
- Ability to supervise and direct others Experience with various HC computer systems
