What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Aide position at MaineHealth?
This is a per diem – as needed position.
The Physical Therapy Aide works under direct supervision in assisting or administering patient treatment as directed by the physical or occupational therapist, physical and/or occupational therapy assistant. Provides administrative and clinical support to the physical and occupational therapy departments.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred.
- License/Certifications: CNA training preferred but not required.
- Experience: Previous experience in health care setting is required.
- Fundamental skills in using PC with Windows Operating System (managing windows, files, programs, shortcuts, logins; ability to use a keyboard and mouse).
- Effective communication skills, flexibility, ability to organize self around job at hand.
