District Sales Manager– The District Sales Manager will be a key member of the sales team who supports the Senior Sales Manager and other members of the Senior Management team as needed to ensure the growth and success of our new Massachusetts market, and the development of our Massachusetts Sales Associates. The DSM will help start up our new showroom in Hanover, NH, and spend their first six months working in Sales and management under the supervision of our Senior Sales Manager, in order to learn the specifics of our industry. (We are not expecting candidates to have prior experience in the spa or sauna industry).

Primary Responsibilities/Duties

  • Identify hiring needs, select and train new salespeople.
  • Conducting Biweekly check-ins with each member of the sales team from their assigned region. 
  1. Coaching - following the “project gold star approach” – Bi-Weekly assessment
  2. Store Presentations 
  3. Phone Presentations
  4. Lead follow-up (suggestions and process confirmation) Cadence and material
  5. Improvement plan development/ Quarterly Goals 
  • Provide training for new and existing members of the sales team (both individually and in group settings)
  • Providing professional development opportunities on an ongoing basis to sales team
  • Support Team Leads with day-to-day store operation.
  • Create regional sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives.
  • Evaluate store and individual performances.
  • Visit multiple showrooms in their assigned MA region weekly  
  • Report on district sales results.
  • Addressing customer service issues 
  • Selling products and/or helping sales staff negotiate and close deals
  • Proactively creating/improving revenue generating programs
  • Partnering with HR to address and deliver progressive coaching
  • Performing other duties as assigned




Requirements

Competencies/Requirements:

  • 5 years of sales experience; at least 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong communication skills for interactions with customers and sales staff
  • Strong leadership abilities and outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Ability to train others effectively; prior training/coaching experience preferred
  • Strategic planning skills; familiarity with effective sales strategies
  • Solid written communication skills
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and meet targets
  • Proven ability to provide exceptional customer experience (internal and external customers)
  • Strong presentation skills ability to facilitate role play exercises
  • Inspirational attitude and ability to create a motivating environment
  • Ability to promote and foster collaborative working relationships with other departments
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook)
  • Prior experience with CRM software preferred 
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed; ability to work at least one weekend day
  • Ability to travel between MA showrooms with occasional travel to ME/NH showrooms

Pay range: 90k (DOE)
