Job Summary:
The Primary Counselor is responsible for case management of clients, ages 18 to break the cycle of addiction and return to their families and communities from a place of resilience.
Responsibilities Include:
- Completion of intake after pre-assessment.
- Developing individualized service and treatment plans.
- Presenting clients in treatment team meetings.
- Maintaining contact with appropriate individuals.
- Supporting discharge and referral planning.
- Conducting didactic lectures, client groups, and other therapeutic activities.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS
- Master's degree in human services field or equivalent years working in addiction treatment.
- License preferred: LSATP, LPC, LCSW, LMFT (or under supervision)
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of one-year experience working in a human service/substance abuse treatment setting.
- Familiarity with 12-step recovery programs.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Experience with an electronic medical record system.
- Individual and Group Counseling.
- Documentation skills.
- De-escalation skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) fluency preferred.

Job Type: Full-time, direct care position, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, some evenings, holidays, and weekends.
