Job Description:
Group Facilitator assists clients receiving treatment for substance use disorders and related mental health concerns in activities related to health and wellness such as: exercise, nutrition, healthy lifestyle choices, smoking cessation, and recovery.
Responsibilities include:

Assists clients in group activities related to developing skills necessary to maintain long-term recovery from substance use.

Prepares group activities related to addiction, recovery, and related medical conditions.

Assists in the development of group programming.

Delivers group material in a manner that motivates and encourages client engagement.

Manages the flow of group and the interaction of clients in the group.

Observes, monitors, and manages client behavior to maintain a structured environment.

Reports any maladaptive behaviors to clinical team, including the Primary Counselor

Documents group activities and individual client participation in the electronic health record (EHR).

Documents any individual client interventions.

Assists clients in developing plans and tools for living healthy.

Promotes change and the development of a healthy, recovery-oriented lifestyle.

Acts as a back-up driver for clients attending external appointments and activities.

Performs other related duties as may be assigned.

Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS

High School diploma required. Some college preferred.

QMHP-A, QMHP-Trainee, or CPRS/RPRS registration required. Additional certifications may be required based on specialty.

Experience and/or education totaling two years related to health, wellness, and recovery education.
EXPERIENCE

Experience providing education in the residential substance use disorder setting is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to motivate those seeking treatment.

Ability to connect and empathize with patients and families seeking treatment.

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, some weekends and holidays
