General Maintenance Technician- Service Technician

We are looking for an experienced General Maintenance Technician to join our service team. As a General Maintenance Technician, you will perform the role of a generalist responsible for diagnosing, repairing and installing all different types of general maintenance work for our commercial clients. In this critical role, the General Maintenance Technician will be trusted to use their experience and general carpentry knowledge to make recommendations/judgment calls in the field, ensuring that the customer’s facility problem is quickly, correctly and efficiently resolved.

Job Responsibilities:
Our General Maintenance Technicians are responsible for all types of maintenance and repairs in the field according to specifications, detailed scope of work, drawings and personal directions given.

Additional responsibilities include:

Communicating with customers upon arrival and completion of work, ensuring customer satisfaction with service
Familiar with and ability to use smart phones and tablets for compiling job information (before and after photos, service notes, quoting, etc.)
Knowledge of flooring work such as leveling, laying tiles, grouting, VCT tile and Carpet (tiles and roll)
Drywall and painting skills
Door and Cabinet Hardware installation/removal
Light commercial electrical (Changing lights, replacing outlets, switches, ETC.)
Light commercial plumbing (faucet replacement, toilet rebuild, cable machine knowledge, ETC.)
Loading and unloading building materials
Operate large powered machinery and equipment (e.g., saws, drills, grinders, blowtorches, pressure cleaners, jackhammers and power tools)
Operate construction-related equipment (e.g., driving trucks or forklifts/scissor lifts)

General Maintenance Technician

Successful candidates for the role of General Maintenance Technician are highly motivated, skilled maintenance technicians who are able to solve problems on site. Our General Maintenance Technicians have vast knowledge and skills and go above and beyond in providing a high level of customer service to our customers.

Additional requirements of the General Maintenance Technician include:

High School Diploma or GED
3-5 years’ experience in commercial general maintenance repairs
Ability to pass a background check, drug screen and DMV check
Ability to work on-call and overtime hours as needed – we are a 24/7 maintenance facility
Have your own basic hand tools to perform general repair work (screwdriver, wrench, etc.)
Familiar with and ability to use smart phones and tablets
Physical Requirements of this role:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in extreme weather
- Ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 50 lbs.
- Ability to wear safety gear correctly most of the day
- Ability to be at elevated levels
- Ability to move safely in uneven terrain or in confined spaces

Compensation Base: $19-$24 hourly based on experience
