Overview:
Making Opportunity Count’s (MOC) is seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for helping others to join our Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP/LIWAP) Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) team as a LIWAP Specialist. The LIWAP Specialist will provide exceptional customer service to income-eligible households who are applying for Water Assistance, coordinate payments and maintain working relationships with vendors. Attention to detail is critical along with a strong work ethic and a willingness to assist clients from all backgrounds. Data entry, computer skills and customer service experience are required. Bilingual individuals are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide intake, assessments, and customer service for all LIWAP clients.
- Gather information and documentation required to determine client household eligibility for LIWAP assistance.
- Perform processes with accuracy and adherence to program regulations.
- Data entry into an established database.
- Mail, print, copy, scan and fax LIWAP transmittals on a daily basis.
- Maintain organized filing system of client files and other necessary documentation.
- Prepare and generate reports according to established deadlines.
- Support the payment and administration of LIWAP funds.
- Provide courteous and friendly customer service.
- Provide call center support.
- Establish and maintain LIHWAP client files per state guidelines and internal procedures.
- Maintain proper logs of participants' services.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service and administrative support
- The ability to demonstrate tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing, and handling information of a confidential and sensitive nature
- The ability to prioritize competing projects with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Salary : $30,600 - $38,700
